About KlatuVAULT
Klatu can help you survive data losses. Our KlatuVAULT service protects you data loss due to unforeseen events, such as; theft, damages, disasters and drive failures. We securely hold your data in our storage platform.

You perform backups through a simple FTP client such as FileZilla Client. FileZilla Client is a free, open source FTP client.  Additional information can be obtained at: filezilla-project.org.  With our KlatuVAULT service, you are completely in control, there's no proprietary encryption and decryption and no application to install on your system.

What can I store on KlatuVAULT?
You can store the files you upload to KlatuVAULT.

What kind of security is in place?
Your access to KlatuVAULT takes place through any SSL-secured FTP Client or server. We control the password on our end and only can set the password. We will not access any of your files and they will not be visible to anyone unless we receive an order from authorities or from a competent court.

How do I upload and download files to and from my KlatuVAULT folder?
To backup and restore files, access your exclusive KlatuVAULT folder through your SSL-secured FTP Client and transfer them in the intended direction.

How does KlatuVAULT Online Backup keep my data secure?
KlatuVAULT uses a combination of encryption techniques and passwords to keep your files secure.

How much space will I have?
Initially, we'll assign 5 Gbs. If more is required, we can arrange for an increase at a minimal cost. We suggest you back up data, without the programs. If you would like to be able to backup your entire system (create a Windows system image), we can arrange for the required storage space at a minimal additional cost.

How can I tell what's backed up online?
Check your secure KlatuVAULT folder; check your files and the date of your last upload.

How much does KlatuVAULT Online Backup Service cost?
KlatuVAULT is free with a Klatu e-store and only $9.99/month for a KlatuLITE estore customer.

What if I don't have a Klatu e-store?
At this time, until further notice, the KlatuVAULT Online Backup Service is made available to active Klatu clients. If you are not a Klatu client, we recommend MOZY and CARBONITE’S online backup/restore services.
