Klatu's Carbon Neutrality Program
It is Klatu’s goal to become Carbon Neutral within 6 months. Carbon neutrality refers to achieving net zero carbon emissions by balancing the carbon released with an equivalent amount sequestered or offset. Our greatest carbon emissions pertain to our servers and other IT equipment. Besides energy conservation measures such as replacing older less energy efficient servers, we are involved in a reforestation program that sequesters carbon.

Beginning in September 2008, as part of our Zero Carbon Footprint Program, Klatu began donating a percentage of revenues towards reforesting. We are partnering with American Forests, an organization that performs environmental restoration. American Forests works to protect, restore and enhance the natural capital of healthy forests, which filter water, remove air pollution, sequester carbon, and provide homes for wildlife.
